Since the introduction of high-speed rail in 2010s and the technology development of Hyperloop in the 2030s, the air travel industry has confronted new challenges. The share of the short distance travel market has been taken by the high-speed rail, pressing new interpretation of air traveling.
In the 2040s, engineers borrowed space travel technology and incorporated it with the then prevalent self-driving concept. The Air Taxi was created. This new form of air travel became popular in the business traveler as it significantly reduced the travel time, removing the commute time to the airport by providing door to door pick up and drop off.

Call: contact the Air Taxi booking number to book a trip.
Mobile App: Request a pick-up at a nearby Air Taxi Port via Air Taxi app.
Air Taxi Key: Press a small key to send a request to nearby Air Taxi. You can pre-select your preferences for Air Taxi when registered as a frequent traveler. Once the key is activated, you can call an air taxi by simply pressing the key. The wait time for a pick-up ranges from 10-20 minutes.
To call an Air Taxi, you must be above 14 years old. Children 5 to 14 years old must travel with a person at least 15 years old.

The rise of suburban America was characterized by millions of individuals individually owning cars. But with the shift in culture from single owning to a shared economy revolutionized the car industry.
Humans had been relying on algorithms to choose their movement for decades now. The idea of individualized control of movement declined, to the point that the famous company UBER bought the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the MTA.
The UBER Purchase of 2068 solidified the smart transportation movement, and led to a system where cars were no longer necessary. Buses running millions of calculations per second would draw daily routes for individuals based on their movement needs for the day.
Shortly after the famous UBER Purchase, Congress passed the Car Act, which limited car purchase to people with disabilities and diplomats with security needs.
In 2070, ride sharing is a collective experience of no less than 70 people at a time.
