Testimonials

"So thankful that our Autumn seniors had this opportunity to experience Pet Ministry through HIM’s blessing. Our seniors were so fond of their furry friends 🐇that they held on to them for most of the session. They also enjoyed the activity and the best part of it all is that it links back to God’s Word and I am sure this experience will remain with them for the longest time. Thanks HIM for having us. 👍🙏🏻" - AUTUMN Community.

"It is with great pleasure that I write to say what a wonderful experience we had with the HIM team, Adeline and volunteers, for coming to Anglican Senior Centre Havelock. It has been a lifetime experience for many of our seniors in handling and cuddling a bunny for the first time. Some of them were unsure at first, but they become comfortable around the small animals. Our seniors have also enjoyed the bonding with the group of HIM volunteers (human and animals). It is so uplifting to see the joy in our seniors’ eyes and the smiles on their faces while interacting with the bunnies. We look forward to partner with HIM in the future for more visits and outings. Thank you, Adeline, and HIM for the best therapy experience." - Christine Loo, ASC (Havelock).

"I have the opportunity to partner with Human-Animal Bond in Ministry (HIM) in conducting Recovery Ahead-Process Group at a halfway house, allowing participants to process their thoughts and emotions in a safe and healthy environment. With guided feedback, allowing for mental, spiritual, and emotional growth.

The integration with animal therapy / intervention was a first for me. It allows me firsthand, to experience the power of the human-animal bond and the clinical effect on the participants. I witnessed, amongst other things, how the therapy dogs would recognise human emotions and provide much-needed comfort and warmth.

The connection between humans and animals provided clinical significance to the overall well-being of the participants. The sessions demonstrated positive benefits. I recommend Animal-assisted therapy to be included in treatment plans where possible.

Adeline is the best in her field. She conducts her sessions with professionalism, gentleness, empathy, and grace." - Dr. Simon Neo, Psychotherapist, The Psychotherapy Clinic.

"PSALT Care partnered with HIM to provide an opportunity for our members journeying with mental health conditions to gain the therapeutic benefits of interacting with animals. The facilitators planned an effective programme for our members incorporating dogs and they were very forthcoming in making our members feel comfortable through their patient disposition. Our members shared about how the activity organised with HIM contributed to their recovery journey. They even got an opportunity to take home a memento of this memorable experience in the form of their favourite picture with the dogs printed by the facilitators." - Nadera Binte Abdul Aziz, Community Engagement Specialist, PSALT CARE LTD.
