Using garageband 10.1.0, if I import a song from itunes, then export the track as an .mp3, the .mp3 always sounds "tinny" or hollow. Forget about recordings! This is on a macbook pro retina. I've tried a lot of suggestions already, like keeping the volume levels so they don't register into the yellow or red. I also tried disabling the "export at full loudness" option. I would expect the sound to be better for a commercial song imported into GB from itunes.

I tried exporting the same song using the same export settings on my iMac, and the resultant mp3 sounds fine. Again, all I did was add a song to my GarageBand project from iTunes, then export it as an mp3 with the highest settings. When I export the same song from iTunes on my Macbook, it sounds very "tinny". I'm not sure what the difference is, except on the iMac my output is two Behringer MS16 speakers connected to the audio line out, and the output on my Macbook are the small Macbook speakers. But the mp3 exported on my Macbook even sounds crappy when playing it on my iMac.

Well, I'm not sure exactly what the problem was, but I was able to take a song from iTunes, add my guitar track which I copied from the tinny sounding project, and it sounds great! One thing I did was adjust the output on the MIDI control in the Apple Utilities folder. Another thing that was different, I did not have my guitar connected to the USB port of my Macbook this time. At least I know I can get a decent mp3 output.

The song, "Zingolo", was released on the newly established record label Glass and a Half Full Records, established by Cadbury's Dairy Milk following their move to Fairtrade chocolate.[7]The song, and the record label, were also set up to celebrate "all things Ghana, its people, its rappers, its dancers, its cultural figures and, of course, its cocoa beans"[7]

The advertisement was broadcast on television and cinema. Featuring a 1-minute edit of the song, it is a short music video showing Ghana and a "cocoa head". It is their fourth advertisement in the Glass and a Half Full Productions campaign, which began in 2007 with the award-winning Gorilla advertisement.[8]

When I listen to my song inside Cakewalk, everything sounds great. When I export it, the WAV file sounds worse (hard to quantify how much worse - some people might not mind - but i definitely notice it) - it's tinny or weird. Kind of like the crash cymbals and highhats and high end are being digitally? compressed? or messed up somehow. It's almost annoying or grating when the high end crashes hit. Like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. So to me it's noticeable and seems like an inferior mix. It's not clipping at the hits (as far as I can tell).

No matter if I export an mp3 (at 256 with highest fixed quality) or a 48000 wave file - some parts of the song just sound really painful like grating digital or harsh tinny, sounds - only on specific parts. This doesn't sound like clipping. But why would it sound awesome inside Cakewalk but be littered with annoying issues when in Windows or in Resolve or it its video output? Is this a Melodyne Rendering artifact that only affects mixdown?

But for this specific issue you will want to determine what frequency is causing it to sound tinny and then reduce that frequency (FYI for fixing stuff with EQ you almost always want to cut the bad instead of trying to boosting the good).

Now with the high-Q set, boost the gain for the EQ band by about 5-8dB. This will sound ugly. Now sweep the frequency around until you find the frequency that makes the tinny vocal sound the most tinny. This will be the offending frequency. While you do this you might find it useful to toggle the EQ band on & off to compare.

FILE - Pages from the Department of Justice motion to oppose the conditional release of Timothy Hale-Cusanelli ahead of his trial on charges stemming from the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, are photographed on May 24, 2022. A song featuring Donald Trump and a choir of prisoners charged with crimes related to the Capitol riot briefly took the No. 1 spot on iTunes last month, edging out Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus. Experts on extremism and propaganda say the song is another example of how Trump and his most ardent allies are trying to gloss over an avalanche of evidence proving the Capitol riot was anything but an act of patriotic resistance.

A spokeswoman for Patel and Henry declined to respond to questions about the song or the irony in using it in such a way. The Star-Spangled Banner was penned by Francis Scott Key after the bombardment of Ft. McHenry by the British in the War of 1812. Just weeks earlier, redcoats had burned the U.S. Capitol to the ground; that was the last time the building had been the scene of such a violent attack.

I've long suspected that Logic 8 just sounds 'cold' 'tinny' 'brittle' etc. compared to other programs, but could never find any support for this suspicion online, so wrote it off as a misperception on my part.

It definitely sounds warmer to my ears. It was one of the first things that attracted me to Logic. As for sounding tinny I just don't get that. My mixes ALWAYS sound better in Logic than PT. Don't know why and don't care really. Maybe it's the plugs, maybe I'm more comfortable in Logic...etc.

PBS then brought in a wide audience of normal listeners, record execs, audio engineers and producers to do a double blind test on a song. It was the same song, same tempo, musicians, etc. and they made it as identical as possible. It was recorded and mixed in both analog and digital at the corresponding studios and both were digitally mastered. 2351a5e196
