Our local GWC chapter, affiliated with the Metropolitan AME Church, has been active since 2018. Through regular virtual meetings, we instill confidence and spark interest in tech fields for our participants.
Our regular activities include:
Sisterhood activities to develop a sense of community in our girls.
Inspirational tech spotlights that highlight female trailblazers and innovators in various STEM fields.
Guided programming lessons and projects, including game development and website programming; past languages and technologies we've used include HTML, MIT Scratch, and Python.
