This field requires you to work with a plethora of diverse fields, so if you are interested in biophysics research, you can join us no matter what your science/technical background is. Students from physics, engineering, chemistry, biology and/or computer science are welcome. Being interested, committed and hardworking is a definite prerequisite.

We are looking for 2 PhD students this year.

1. You should be enrolled in RRI PhD program.

2. During 1st year, PhD students should do at least ONE hands-on project in the lab.

Postdoc Positions: [CURRENTLY OPEN]

We are looking for One postdoc to join us under one of the following running projects. Our projects are in the direction of understanding biophysical principles in:

1. Nanopore Biophysics

2. Revealing chromatin structure using an ultra-low noise nanopore platform integrated with an optical tweezers. 

3. Microfluidics based detection of cell physiology for disease biomarkers

4. Optical Tweezers based molecular stiffness of CRISPR-Cas9 system.

• Applying candidate should have extensive hands-on experience in experimental physics. 

• Background in any one: biophysics, optical imaging, single molecule techniques, nano-sciences and/or building experimental setups are encouraged to apply. 

• Postdoc positions are from 1-3 years duration.

Project Positions: [CURRENTLY OPEN]

Only (minimum 9 - 12 months) full time projects are available. Please do not contact for shorter term projects.

We are always looking for
(A) Engineers with hands-on experience with electronics/Arduino based/optics projects.
(B) Physics students with hand-on projects in Polymer dynamics/Biophysics. 

For project applications, I would need:

1. CV with details of publications (if any) and projects done (location, duration & YOUR contribution). 

2. Referees (1 -2) whom you have worked with and willing to give a reference letter.

3. Mention CLEARLY the duration of project you are looking for (currently we dont have any projects less than 9-12 months) and when you can start.

4. Is this your Masters project ?

5. Are you looking for scholarship or is it funded by your institute/self ? RRI does not provide hostel.

6. Include a short write up on what interests you in my lab.
