What is Race?

Belief regarding superiority of one race over another is racism. It often results in discrimination towards the people. It is based on their ethnicity. However, the term 'racism' cannot fall under a single definition and also known as discrimination. It shouldn't be done in any form viz. gender, religious and /or financial discrimination etc. Race has led to discrimination and abuse. Humans are all the same but race is based on physical appearance. It has created people to think that their race is superior. It is not good to think like that because we all are the same. We all are seen different from the outside, but we are the same.

Racism With Native Americans

Racism for Native Americans is not the same racism people deal with nowadays. Nowadays racism is more like treating people differently because of their race/skin color. The racism native Americans deal with is way different. They get treated badly because of what people believed about them and what they believed that they did in the past.

Native Americans were not accepted for their culture. European settlers thought of their culture as dangerous, harmful, and that it was to spiritual.

Native Americans did kill white people back in the day but it was for a different reason. But now people think of it being very stereotypical.

Another term to call Native Americans is American Indians and so sometimes people who actually came from from India would be confused -- either they are actually Eastern Indian or not. But then later on they figure out they are not Indians.

This is another reason the Europeans called them ‘Savages’ is racism. The Native Americans were more darker skinned. The Europeans discriminated a lot against the Native Americans for this very reason.

Another reason for it is that this was the time of the African slave trade. Since the Native Americans were also dark-skinned compared to the Europeans, the colonizers began the American slave trade. The way they did this was despicable. First they arrived under the pretense of just trading and gave them a false sense of security, then, waged war with them. By 1680 or 1690 there were more enslaved Natives than Africans in the Americas.

Races in Afghanistan

A race is a grouping of humans based on shared physical and social qualities into categories generally viewed as distinct by society.

Afghanistan is a multiethnic and mostly tribal society. The population of Afghanistan is divided into the following ethno linguistic groups:

Pashtuns,Tajik, Hazara, Uzbek, Torkaman, Pashaei and a few others.

Pashtons:

Pashtuns are the largest ethnic group in Afghanistan. They make up an estimated 42% of the population of contemporary Afghanistan. Their main territory sometimes called pashtonistan.

Tajiks:

Tajik form the second largest ethnic group in Afghanistan. They make up about 27% of population in Afghanistan. They are the Persian speaking people. In Afghanistan Tajiks are the majority in the city of Herat.

Hazaras:

The Hazara is the third largest ethnic group in Afghanistan. They make up about 9% population in Afghanistan; they are Persian speaking and reside mainly in the hazarajat region in central Afghanistan.
