Challenges

Reflections

As a team we have faced a lot of challenges that we had to overcome in order to progress. We learned from them and slowly but steadily started to piece together the website. These challenges slowed us down but they did not stop us. Here are some of our major challenges we faced.

Our first challenge, was the internet. We tried to have a Skype call together and because of the connection we could not get things done. The whole point of the call was to get to know each other by talking in real life... or by Skype. We could not do that and we had to stick to Edmodo for communication. Leo - ICSA

Our second challenge, was that we were working on the wrong site. Our teachers had assigned us a link to a site but we used another one. It worked out fine because we figured it out and copied and pasted it to the new one but it got us worried.

Our third challenge, was agreeing with other schools about ideas. International Community School of Abidjan-Abidjan, Ivory Coast thought that the perspective should be from Native Americans.Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi, India thought that the perspective should be from Indians. Tajrabawi Girls High School-Herat, Afghanistan were more flexible. Other problems were agreeing with which page should be written by who.

Our fourth challenge, was when we were deleting things without telling others. We were deleting someone else's work, either because it was not up to our satisfactions or it was not very good. We did this when Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi, India added many good stuff and we deleted their pictures and etc.

Our fifth challenge was that we weren't always understanding what other teams were saying. That caused confusion. Because of that, we didn't always ask other schools if we could do stuff. An example of that is when we were deleting whole pages other schools had made. This is what caused a challenge but after a while, we started communicating more and we started sorting things out. And that helped us not only agree more with each other, but to learn how to communicate more and get along more with the other schools. It's nice to get along because you can talk more and discuss more which makes our whole project come out better.
