My research looks at employment participation and labour market policy. I am interested in inequality in access to employment and good quality employment, the determinants of such inequality, its consequences, and its implications for policy.
I have a particular focus on employment participation at the household level, since the household context underpins some key forms of inequality, such as gender inequality or income inequality, and some key outcomes such as poverty. In terms of policies, I am interested in the effect of labour market flexibilisation reforms on employment outcomes.
