Chromatin Epigenetics and RNA Biology

With computational and experimental skills, I am broadly interested in Chromatin Epigenetics and RNA Biology, and new techniques such as CRISPR, scRNA-seq and long-read sequencing, to address these biological questions, particularly RNA-centric gene regulation. My research currently focus on three aspects with approaches in biochemistry, molecular biology, and bioinformatics.

1) The molecular mechanisms underlying Xist-mediated chromosome silencing and further systematic comparison for the contribution and interplay of different silencing pathways.

2) RNA m6A modification and gene regulation.

3) We identified the variant NuRD complex (PWWP2A/B-MTA-HDAC) excluding MBD, and try to understand how it regulates transcription.Â
