I was born in Modena, Italy. In 2009 I graduated in Literary Theory at the University of Bologna. I completed my Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the University of Florence in 2013.

While working on my dissertation I was a visiting scholar at the Université de Montréal (Francophone Studies). Following a one-year postdoc at the Ecole normale supérieure (Paris) as a Lauréat Ville de Paris, I have been appointed Postdoctoral Researcher in Comparative Literature at the University of Bologna (2016). From 2020 I work as Assistant Professor in the same discipline and institution.

I am Vice-President of the Centre of Contemporary Poetry at the University of Bologna.
