Research Interests

Hydrophilic derivatives of fullerene C60: study of physico-chemical properties and aggregation behaviour.

Thermodynamic and kinetic study of keto-enol tautomerism of alfa-nitroketons in aprotic solvents and in room temperature ionic liquids.

Supramolecular aggregates of surfactant and polymers (micelles e vesicles): kinetic and morphologic characterization.

pKa shift of fluorinated phenol induced by mixed liposomes.

Preparation of bucky gels from Hipco nanotubes and ionic liquids.

Metal nanoparticles characterization.

Microwave assisted organi syntesis.

1997 - graduated with honors in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at the “G. d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara, discussing the thesis: “Low molecular weight compounds of the Olea Europaea Bark.

1998 - professional qualification as Pharmacist.

1999-2000 - fellowship at the “G. d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara working on the project: “Supramolecular aggregates of amphiphilic molecules and keto-enol tautomerism”.

1999-2002 - PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the “G. d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara discussing the thesis: “Study of supramolecular aggregates of amphiphilic molecules”.

2003-2006 – post doctoral fellowship at the "G. d'Annunzio" University of Chieti-Pescara working on the project: “Inclusion of organic molecules in liposomes formed by natural and synthetic surfactants”.

2006 - Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry at the "G. d'Annunzio" University of Chieti-Pescara.
