Pink-slipped or want to support others?
People who have been pink-slipped have expressed feeling unseen and unappreciated so this is one way to help show support.
Just as we want our students to be lifelong learners and engaged citizens, keep asking questions, seeking information, and sharing with people you know!
One place you can start is by exploring links on the Learn More page.

3. The content on BoardDocs gets updated frequently so it won't always look the same on the landing page. As of 3/16/24 7:00 pm, the March 12 meeting is displaying on the landing page since it is featured.
But, if a meeting is not appearing as featured, you can navigate to it by clicking on MEETINGS from the top menu.
4. When selecting the March 12 meeting, as of 3/16/24 7:00 pm, you can see links to View the Agenda, Download Agenda as PDF, or Print the Agenda.
You can see that there are no links yet to View Minutes or Watch Video.
Want to know what it will look like once the minutes and video links are available?

Brown Act Requirement: While board agendas are typically posted 6 days prior to meetings, the Brown Act requirement is that meeting information is posted at least 72 hours prior to each Regular Meeting and at least 24 hours prior to each Special Meeting.
See the information above about attending a board meeting. Sharing a public comment just adds a few extra steps.
You can always find information about public comment in the agendas of upcoming meetings. Below is guidance from the April 25, 2024 agenda.
Review the board agenda to see if your comments apply to an agenda item or not. See instructions above about how to find board meeting information, which includes links to agendas.
Ideally, prepare and practice your comments ahead of time, including timing yourself to make sure your comments are less than 3 minutes long. Keep in mind that board meetings are recorded and will be made available to the general public.
Arrive at meetings BEFORE the start time. The public portion of meetings typically starts at 6:00 pm so arrive with plenty of time to park, find the meeting location, fill out a speaker card (see samples below), and present it to the Board secretary before the meeting starts.
Then, just have a seat in the audience until the "Communications from the Public" section of the agenda.
Usual Public Comment Rules
Length of comments allowed:
An individual speaker may not exceed a total of three (3) minutes on all items.
If the assistance of an interpreter is needed, the speaker's comments will be translated to English and the time limit for all items addressed shall be six (6).

Regarding comments ON agenda items:
