Ying Chen Ph.D.

Postdoc Fellow
Ying joined the lab as a Postdoctoral Fellow, where her research focuses on the genetic control of temporal molecular phenotype and circadian rhythms with broad implications for precision chronotherapy. 

Ying received her Ph.D. from Chinese Academy of Sciences, where she investigated how gene dosage balance underlies regulatory robustness in dynamic biological processes, including cell cycle progression. Her doctoral research produced several peer-reviewed publications including Genome Res. 2019 PMID: 31662304, Cell Syst. 2019 PMID: 31351919 , and Genome Biol Evol 2021 PMID: 33713114.

Hualei Zheng Ph.D.

Postdoc Fellow
Hualei Zheng joined Guan's lab as a Postdoctoral Fellow, where his research focuses in circadian regulation of hepatic lipid metabolism. He leverages a strong background in proteomics and post-translational regulation to investigate the molecular mechanisms governing hepatic lipid metabolism and cell-cell communication in liver disease.

Hualei received his Ph.D. from Xiamen university.  His doctoral works has published in several peer-reviewed publications including: Mol cell 2024 PMID: 39321805, Redox bio. 2024 PMID: 38490069, and  Int J Biol Macromol 2025 PMID: 39675608.

Dishu Zhou Ph.D.

Postdoc Fellow
Dishu's research focuses on investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying liver cancer progression. She is particularly interested in understanding how genetic and environmental disruptions contribute to metabolic diseases, including MAFLD, obesity, and diabetes. 

She received her Ph.D. from Xiamen university. Her doctoral work generated in several peer-reviewed publications:  Cell Metab. 2025 PMID: 40858101 and Trends Endocrinol Metab. 2026 PMID: 40753007.
