Event Overview: This prep event is designed to help you put your best foot forward at the SHPE National Convention by ensuring your pitch and resume are polished and ready to impress. Whether you're just starting to practice your pitch or creating your resume, this session is for you!

What to Expect:

• Pitch Development: Understand how to create and deliver a compelling personal pitch that introduces yourself effectively to potential employers.

• Resume Tips & Tricks: Learn how to craft a standout resume that highlights your strengths and aligns with what employers at the convention are looking for.

• 🚨Resume and Pitch Office Hours🚨: Take advantage of one-on-one sessions with SHPE members who have attended conventions in the past. Get personalized advice on how to tailor your resume and/or your pitch to your major and make it shine.

This is a great opportunity to ask questions and get feedback from those who have been through the process before. Don’t miss out!

📚 Prep Event #2 - PEP Networking Workshop

This event organized by PEP will serve as our 2nd prep event! 

🤨 Have you tried talking to a recruiter or tried to network but dont know what to say? Do you feel like the conversation could be going better? Then stop by tomorrow from 5-6PM at Howey L4 to learn the best tips and tricks on how to stand out as a candidate when talking 1-on-1! 

❗This is an essential skill to have , not only for enhacing your elevator pitch, but for also knowing what and how to say it to maximize your chances of getting that interview or job offer. If you do it right, you might even get an offer on the spot! 

🚨Final Prep Event (Highly Encouraged!): NC101 & Practice Session🚨

Join us this Friday from 1pm - 2pm in Howey L1 for the final National Convention prep event! 

The first half will cover the final details behind our visit to Anaheim (hotels, bonding event, etc.), explaining the NC as a whole (what are hospitality suites, how to navigate the career fair, tips & tricks etc.) and how to maximize your preparation and chances of succeeding! 

The second half will be a Practice Session where you will have to opportunity to get practice your pitch, get feedback on your up-to-date resume, and ask any/all questions about the NC. 

It is highly recommended to attend this final prep event since it is the last chance to polish your NC preparation! See you all there!
