Class Supplies Required - earbuds, a thumb drive at least 1 GB
Textbook - The format is synchronous online via Google Class. No textbook is required. Students can create music using a school provided music editing software at www.Soundtrap.com. Students can access this from home or from school to complete their projects. They will be invited to join using their school account after they have started the class.
What is music technology?
It's a class in which students learn the components of songwriting using loops and samples from online sources and using online software, Soundtrap.com, and computer software, Studio One. Our students have won state level awards from GMEA and been acknowledged by the board office for their outstanding ability in electronic music composition!
Basketball Music Technology Night 2021!
It is happening! In January 2022 (night TBA) the Varsity and JV teams, under Coaches Dukes and Douglas, will host Music Technology classes at one of their games, and during the half-time, pre-game, and post-game music will be music that students in Music Technology classes created. Admission is free and required for a grade. (An alternative assignment can be completed for those who can't attend.) However the fun is all yours!
