WHAT?
GT Club Tennis is a fairly competitive co-ed and student-run organization of Georgia Tech tennis players that practice together multiple times a week and compete at tournaments throughout the year. The organization also spends lots of time together off the court by hosting social events and participating in philanthropy opportunities.
WHERE?
GT Club Tennis practices on campus at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex and plays tournaments at schools and locations throughout the southeast. Past locations have included Auburn and Alabama Universities, University of South Carolina, and even the USTA National Campus in Orlando.
HOW?
There are about 30 active members of varying skill levels. However, everyone is competitive and many played tournaments or on their high school varsity teams. Tryouts are held at the beginning of each semester for new players to join. Everyone is encouraged to tryout (and as many times as they wish).
WHEN?
As a year-round sport, we practice and play tournaments throughout the academic year. Generally, we practice about three times a week and play 4 tournaments each semester. However, all participation is optional (although highly encouraged), and play at tournaments is done via a first-come-first-serve signup basis.

Outside the court, our club fosters a strong sense of community and belonging at Georgia Tech. We host monthly social events ranging from our annual Christmas Party (featuring a Secret Santa giveaway) to corn maze hunts to Habitat for Humanity volunteering. This allows opportunities for members to bond in a social capacity, which leads to strong member comradery. Though competitors and tennis players, above all else we are friends.Â
