Banking and Treasurer
The best way to start is to contact our placement specialist Michelle Tieskie MTieskie@girlscoutsww.org . You'll let her know of your interest in starting a new troop and she'll help you get registered and background checked. She'll walk you through all of the next steps. When in doubt, remember to reach out to Kristen and Marika for help too.
Most of your initial training will be online. These are mostly in the form of video presentations and slides. Our recommendation is to tackle these in bite sized chunks and reach out to us for clarification as needed.
Sign up for a troop account after finishing the Troop TREASURER Learning Path. Your banking options are Umpqua or Keybank. Keybank will require you to do most of your banking in person. Umpqua has more online access. You’ll need at least 2 signers, max 3. Usually these are the troop leaders, but you might elect to have a separate troop treasurer as well.

Keep track of your income and expenses throughout the year. This will come in handy when completing your Annual Troop Financial Report (ATFR). We suggest using the GSWW Troop Detailed Cash Record spreadsheet. After clicking the link below, select "File" and "Download".
