The Silver Award stands out as the most prestigious badge a Girl Scout Cadette can achieve. To get it, they choose a problem in their community, make a plan to fix it, and then take action to make things better.
Congratulations to our four troop members who have successfully completed their Silver Award Projects and are eager to share their experiences and lessons learned from the process!
My project is a tiny library box in the school where people can see and easily access it. To make it sustainable, there will be a sign saying "Take and leave a book." This way, it will be an ongoing process of taking and leaving a book.
I started a "Care Closet" at my school with important items for girls and boys going through puberty. This helps students feel more comfortable and confident during these changes.
My project is a big free library, created so kids may learn about devotion, such as cows. I have ensured that my library may be sustainable by putting up a sign that says " Take a book, share a book" as it will be a continuous action of taking a book and sharing a new book.
My idea is to create a website “Walking into Middle School” that can help incoming 6th graders feel more relaxed and not as nervous to go to middle school.
