We investigate the thermal, hydraulic, and mechanical behavior of frozen geomaterials and develop advanced artificial ground freezing technologies for underground construction. Our research integrates laboratory experiments, field monitoring, numerical simulation, and data-driven approaches to understand freezing–thawing processes and improve the design and performance of frozen ground systems.

We study the coupled hydro-mechanical behavior and sealing performance of natural and engineered geomaterials for subsurface containment systems.
