Must be available for one of two training days in June.
Must adhere to cell phone usage policy. Teens will be required to turn in their phones at the beginning of each day. They will be returned at the end of camp day. If this policy is not something you can follow, this is not the camp for you.
Camp staff hours are Mon-Wed 8:15am-4:00pm; Thursday is an overnight 8:15am - Friday 12 noon
Priority will be given to those who have attended our camp previously and to children of adults volunteering for the full week. But that does not mean you should not apply!
This is a leadership role. Teens/CITs are assigned to units to work alongside adult Unit Leaders. Each unit will have two adults and at least one teen.
Unit sizes are approximately 12 campers.
Teens will be expected to assist the adults with program activities, meal times, etc. Teens will complete approximately 60 hours of volunteer time, including training days. Teens may also complete their CIT I and II pins. If interested in those, they should reach out to the camp directors. Teens will be responsible for following the daily schedule and getting their units to their assigned locations on time.
No buddy requests will be accommodated for teens. Teens will not be placed in the same unit as a relative. It is our goal to place teens in units with campers at least 2 years younger, however, that may not always be possible.
This is a leadership position. Please encourage your teens to be the primary communicator with camp directors. This is good practice for the future.
