gsb 3peaks challenge

The annual GSB 3Peaks challenge will not be taking place on the usual slot of the Alumni reunion weekend. We will be holding both the traditional Full Challenge, going from the UCT vicinity up Devil’s Peak, Maclear’s Beacon and ending on Lion’s Head as well as a more direct route called the Big Little Lions head. 

The date is Saturday 8 November 2025, and all details will be on our home of the 3peaks which you are currently reading!

This is not a formal RACE, but a fun challenge for students, staff, alumni and plus ones of the GSB. You are responsible for your own safety on the mountain and while it is a challenge, remain in the limits of your fitness and experience.

We are launching an interclass scoring challenge. Here you will team up with classmates against other groups. This is intended to encourage more participants from all classes, staff and alumni. 

Once we have confirmation of who is signed up, there will be a grouping into what is the most logical distribution. The intention is to get as many alumni to encourage their own classmates to get kitted up and onto the mountain. EVERYONE who completes a course will be scored.
