Mateo is the eldest out of twenty siblings, and a member of a local heavy metal band. He lives downtown and will tend to drop by the neighborhood to help his mother with house projects. If he is not doing that he is usually hanging with his best friend Leo or help producing music numbers for the elementary school as a part-time job.

Although he is a bit oblivious he makes up for it with his chilled attitude towards everything. Rumor has it he has a bit of a crush towards the new girl that recently moved into town.

Origins

Mateo was born in the morning around wintertime and was a very quite child at a young age. He met his best friend Leo in kindergarten and ever since Leo accidentally got glue in his hair they've been best friends ever since. Like all of Lola's children, Mateo doesn't know his father. He genuinely doesn't mind and will often talk fondly about how his mother filled both roles and he became a father-figure to his younger siblings. Matter of fact, it was because of Lola that Mateo gained the confidence to follow his heart towards music.

This lead to Mateo gaining some success as a musician and as a returning favor he helps supports his fellow younger siblings follow their hearts. Because of his success and love for music he tends to do lessons for children who want to learn the art of music.

The Neighborhood

While Mateo doesn't live in his childhood home anymore he does tend to spend some time there usually to help babysit his remaining younger siblings or to help out his mother for whatever she needs. Thus he is very familiar with all the neighbors except for a newcomer named Estrella.

While his first impression of her was slightly awkward, Mateo developed a bit of a crush and who knows might happen in the future.
