COST FOR SPRING 2025
Costs associated with running the ultimate program include increased league and state tournament fees, coach stipends, extra tournaments, equipment, and field rentals. This year we are implementing a tiered pricing option in order to help fund the program while offering families a choice of what they can afford. We want to be very clear that every student will be able to play ultimate regardless of ability to pay. If all of these are still too expensive, please pay any amount that works for your family. Below are the tiers and what they represent.
True Cost Tier = $250 This is the true cost of Ultimate and covers coaches' stipends, increased MN Ultimate team fees, supplies, and 2 local tournaments per team.
Above and Beyond Tier = $300+ This covers everything mentioned above and also helps to build our capacity to offer discounted pricing/scholarships and to help pay for our winter dome time, coaches and travel tournament expenses.
Subsidized/Discounted Tier = $175 This is a reduced fee supported by donations reducing financial burden for participation.
PAY HERE--Credit/debit card: Use PayPal (No login required). PayPal link says "Donate", and is linked to our GRS Foundation-Ultimate account. Please note the player name/s and "Ultimate" in the "Note".
Write a check to "Great River School Foundation - Ultimate". Checks can be mailed to "GRS Office" or dropped off in an envelope labeled "Stars Ultimate". Please note the player name/s and "Ultimate" in the memo line of the check
Register with MN Ultimate HERE ($60/year). Click on "Player Registration" and register for the team that makes sense to you. For the Boys/Open teams, we will move around JV and Varsity players once registration is complete so you can sign up with either team. If you paid for the fall season, you shouldn't have to pay MNU again but you still need to register.
If you did not pay in the fall, you'll need to purchase your MNU membership when you register via MN Ultimate. If needed, you can request a scholarship from MN Ultimate to cover this fee.
Please note that players under 18 will need parental consent so it's easiest to complete registration with your player.
We have changed vendors (Stimulus) and are getting brand new uniforms this year that were designed by players! Before ordering, be sure to check this document for assigned/available numbers: 2025 Jersey Numbers. If you don't see your name or you want to change your number or you would like to reserve a number as a new player, please email Brent Cummins with your number request before ordering so I can update that doc. (bcummins@greatriverschool.org). Players are also able to put the first or last name on the back of their jersey (no nicknames please) and can do so when ordering. Also, it seems their sizes run a little bigger than our previous uniforms so be sure to check out this Sizing Guide.
Each player should order "the bundle" ($85) which comes with two short sleeve jerseys & shorts. The store will close on March 20. Delivery will be in 4-5 weeks after the store closes.
When you are ready to order uniforms, please use this Stimulus link.
If you need a scholarship for a uniform set, please email Brent Cummins at bcummins@greatriverschool.org and he will get you the separate storefront link.

Students who have a D or N in any class will need to improve their grade or create an eligibility plan with our Dean of Students if they qualify.

Any students in violation of the Harassment, Hate Speech and Chemical Use Policies will no longer be eligible to play on the GRS Ultimate team according to the penalty descriptions written in the policies.
