welcome

"Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation."

1 Peter 2:2

I am a devout Christian, seeking to grow in faith & to help others grow in their faith. Throughout this site, you will find blog posts & devotionals, links to different Bible studies, & news/information on my latest writings. I don't believe you can ever learn enough. I am always striving to understand more and want to share what I've learned with others. Please feel free to look around. I'm just getting started so there will be growth on the website as well. You're welcome to leave me a message on the guestbook or send me an e-mail. I'd love to hear from you.

Movies bring people together. For most people, the first thing they do after seeing a movie is discuss it. What did you like or not like about it? What was your favorite part? Did you like the ending? What would you rate it? These are the same types of discussions that occur in the workplace or while hanging out with friends or family. What a convenient opening for sharing your faith with those you encounter every day. The great thing about these books is that you don't have to see the movie to learn from it. In some cases, it's easier to understand the message without the visuals in your mind. The purpose of these lessons is to show that in any genre of movie, some part of it can be applied to a Christian life.

Each lesson includes the statistics of the movie (i.e. the release date, director, key actors, etc.), a brief synopsis of the film, study questions (including Bible verses), a closing statement, a prayer and a few fun facts about the movie itself..

The first book is geared for adults while the second is suited for teens. Each movie has one and sometimes two theology topics that are addressed. For adults it might be sacrifice, creation vs. creator, right to life or revenge while the teens book deals with bullying, peer pressure, relating to parents, first job, etc.

Both books are available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or click the link below to buy it on ReaderHouse. eBooks are also available!

Nameless Women of the Bible

My second Bible study is now available for purchase from Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Nameless Women of the Bible is a 12 study series about women that played an important part in God's plan. Although we will never know their names, we can still learn from their actions; some because of what they did right and others because of what they did wrong. These wives, daughters and mothers had no idea of their purpose in this world but God made their actions known for a reason and our lives can be enriched through them.

Check out the video for Watching Movies with Christian Eyes! Released Feb. 2019 from Christian Faith Publishing.

Lutheran Women's Quarterly Magazine

The Spring 2019 issue features one of my Bible Studies on Nameless Women in the Bible. In this study, we look at the woman that cries out to Jesus and blesses His mother. Like many other women in the Bible, we aren't given her name but the fact that she's mentioned is worth looking in to. There must be something we can learn from her. The study is listed in English and Spanish.

The Fall 2019 issue contains the study of 'The Pharaoh's Daughter'. In this study, we take a closer look at the woman that pulled Moses from the river and defied her father's law in order to save the Israelite people.
