I am a recently retired (May 2024) Elementary School Teacher with a Master of Science in Education from UWSP. I began my teaching career with the opportunity to start up the Kindergarten Classroom at St. John the Baptist School in Edgar, Wisconsin and grew here during my first 6 years of teaching. I continued to pursue the passion of educating children at the Edgar Public School for the past 21 years. Where I have had many opportunities ranging from working with our Gifted and Talented Program, serving as a Technology Mentor, Coaching Middle School Cross Country, and finding my home for the past 16 years in Co-Teaching Fourth Grade. In 2022 I had the opportunity to participate in the Breathe for Change Course for educators. Becoming a certified Social-Emotional Learning Facilitator and 200-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher, I fell in love with following the mission of making a positive change in the world, one teacher at a time. The values of Breathe for Change was founded upon the theory of empowering the wellness and health of our educators will have a direct positive transformational impact within our school communities and well-being of our children. In my desire to continue to learn, grow and cultivate the holistic approach to life and wellness I will be offering wellness practices such as yoga, integrated with mindfulness, meditation, breathwork and restorative poses for our communities. As I myself am new to this venture, I assure you these classes will be beginner friendly. Most important lesson in life on or off the mat is to be present and show up as your true self for yourself. All are welcome!
