Wild birds are amazing creatures that bring beauty and joy to our world. They swoop through the sky, sing cheerful songs, and help keep our environment healthy. We can help protect them by planting flowers and trees to give them food and shelter and putting out clean water for them to drink. We can also
And remember, never touch a baby bird. Its mom is probably nearby, watching over it. Let's all work together to keep our feathered friends safe and happy!

In today’s eco-conscious world, introducing kids to renewable energy sources like wind and solar power is not just educational but also fun! DIY clean energy projects for kids are an excellent way to teach them about sustainability, electricity, and the environment.
A wind turbine is a machine that converts kinetic energy from the wind into electricity. Wind turns the propeller-like blades of the turbine around a rotor, which spins a generator and creates electricity. In this project, kids will learn about how wind turbines are powered and think about the future of clean energy.

Wetlands are super cool places! They're like nature's sponges, soaking up water and helping to prevent floods. Plus, they're home to all sorts of amazing animals, like ducks, frogs, and even alligators! Wetlands also help clean our water and air, making our planet a healthier place for everyone.
Even though wetlands are super important, they're in trouble. People sometimes drain them to build houses or farms, which takes away the homes of many animals. Pollution from cities and farms can also harm the plants and animals that live in wetlands. It's important to protect these special places so that future generations can enjoy them too.
There are different kinds of wetlands - some have freshwater, some are coastal (saltwater), and some are in between. In Minnesota, we have freshwater wetlands.
Did you know there is a freshwater wetland less than half a mile from the Grove church in Woodbury?
The Tamarack Nature Preserve is a type of swamp, or forested wetland. It is home to many different types of animals including ducks, egrets, turtles, snakes, opossums, raccoons, deer, and even coyotes!
