Getting to the "Ulisse Dini" Maths Department
By Tram
Take Linea 1 (T1) and get off at either Morgagni Università or Careggi Ospedale; both stops are less than a 5-minute walk from the Maths Department.
Tram tickets can be purchased directly on the tram by tapping a credit or debit card on the onboard machine (one card per ticket).
By Bus
Check the Travel Planner of Autolinee Toscane (choosing arrival at Ulisse Dini or Morgagni Campus).
By Plane
Florence Airport (Peretola) is small, with limited flights. (The tram line 2 connects Florence's airport with the city center.) Two alternative options are Bologna's Marconi Airport and Pisa's Galileo Galilei Airport.
From Bologna Airport: The Marconi Express connects Bologna Airport to Bologna’s main train station in about 7 minutes.
From Pisa Airport: The Pisamover shuttle provides quick access to Pisa’s main train station, allowing easy onward travel to Florence.
By train
Florence has frequent high-speed train connections to major cities like Milan, Bologna, and Rome. There are also regional trains linking Florence and Pisa.
By bus
Florence is accessible by bus from major cities throughout Italy and mainland Europe, offering a cost-effective travel option.
