We chose this project because all team members were interested in learning more about how to use Power Automate and enhancing their data analysis skills in Power BI. We also wanted to learn more about the National Housing Compliance, how they currently set up their onbaording process, and how we could create a product that would improve their current process.
The most difficult part of the project was the learning curve that came with learning both Power BI and Power Automate. Most of the team had little experience working in either application. But with the guidance of the team members who were strong in these platforms, we were able to get a better understanding of how to get our flows connected and working to produce an efficient product.
We did run into a few errors within our flow due to connection issues to ur SharePoint site. These erros prevented our flow tasks from running and sharing real-time data to the HR dashboard. Once we reconnected and properly set our flows, we were able to fix the errors.
Our project was the most successful with Power Automate, which we all were able to learn how to use in working sessions. We also refrenced videos to help build out tasks. Power BI was also a major success point to build out the HR dashoard that easily integrated with our SharePoint List.
