We'll work through them in this order: nouns, verbs, adjectives, articles, pronouns, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and finally interjections. Unfortunately, the order in which we'll review (or learn) them is NOT the best way to remember the nine parts of speech.
It's a goofy reminder, but it works.
It's not easy (even for me) to just list them. I always blank on at least one, usually conjunctions, so now I use a mnemonic (nee-mon-ic), a memory helper, with initial letters & an image to help me get them all.
My mnemonic is VAIN PA CAP.
I imagine a dad ("Pa") who doesn't want anybody to see his bald head (because he's vain), so he wears a cap all the time.
