How to Prep Your Dog for Grooming

Welcome to Module 4 everyone!! It is now time to begin preparing your dog for a successful grooming session. In this module, we will teach you how to train your dog so that they will be comfortable and obedient on the grooming table.

Here are some of the things that you will need in this module:

Treats ..... LOTS of them
Leash
Camera
Comfortable mat for your dog to lay on
Any other tricks/tools you use to keep your dog still

Task 1

Use Canva (click on Canva) and using your preferred template, create a list 8-10 tools and ways to keep a dog calm while grooming. Then, screenshot it and post it to forums under Ways to Keep your Dog Calm While Grooming.

Task 2

This is your final task for Module 4. I have included a video down below of me training and getting my dog to sit still on a mat. Recreate this video with your own dog/pet or makeshift animal and post it to assignments under Prepping My Dog for Grooming. Use the tips taught or use your own tactics!
