Here is everything you might need to know to commission my writing services. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. Contact info is in Contact and Payment.
The commissioning process is fairly simple. Here is something of how it will unfold:
First, contact me on one of my socials, which can be found in Contact and Payment.
Second, give me a general idea of the plot you wish the work to follow, the characters you wish to be included, and the setting you want the work to be placed in. The more detail you can share with me at this phase, the more likely the work will turn out in a satisfactory way.
Third, provide me with a length desired for the commission. I do commission lengths in segments of 500 words. I will stick as closely as I possibly can to the desired length, but I may be a few words over. I do not accept commissions under 1000 words.
Fourth, once payment has been received, I will begin writing your commission.
During the writing process, I will offer TWO major revisions. Major revisions are any edit that will require me to delete and rewrite a large chunk of text. Minor edits, such as touching up a few phrases of dialogue, are completely okay and don't count towards the major revisions, so never feel afraid to ask for small changes that will help a work match your setting, plot, and characters better. After the two major revisions, I will charge extra for the segments I rewrite. The more detail you share in the second step, the less likely I will be to have to revise!
Fifth, I will send a draft of your commission. If you are happy with the contents of it, I will proceed to finalize the work, editing any last elements, and go through making sure that the piece is in its best state (such as ensuring there are no spelling or grammatical errors).
Sixth, I will send you your finished story!
Before you order, please make sure to have read my Terms of Service. These terms apply to private commissions only. This information is NOT applicable for commercial work, therefore the art can only be used for the client’s personal purposes.
All prices below are base prices. Things that might increase the price are complex narratives and plots and number of characters.
For commissions with the base rate:
$20 USD per 1000 words, plus 10$ for every 500 words beyond the base 1000. This equates out to the costs below:
$20 for 1000
$30 for 1500
$40 for 2000
$50 for 2500
And so on.
I will always provide at least the requested length, but works may go over by a few words. You will not be charged extra for this.
When commissioning me, you can pay 50% upfront and 50% when I send the first draft, or 100% upfront, depending on whichever you are more comfortable with.
On my Writing samples page, I have each work's word count, so that you can get a feeling for the level of detail, story depth, and reading time that can be achieved in their relative lengths.
While I am quite open to writing just about anything you could imagine, there are some hard limits. To ensure any discussion between me and a customer is not a confusing minefeild of you trying to figure out what I am and am not ok with, I have provided a list of things I am and am not okay with writing about. Additionally, I have included a section labeled "Lets Discuss." These are things that I, personally, am not against, but I feel require a discussion to ensure we are both on the same page.
A list of things that I will almost always be okay with writing:
Any Genre
SFW
NSFW
Works involving OCs
Violent content
World building
Works up to 35,000 words
Things that would make your mother faint
Jokes aside, I am largely open to most subjects, just as long as they do not interfere with me DON'Ts. Don't be afraid to ask about any elements of a story to ensure that I am ok with them.
A list of things that I will never be okay with writing:
Erotic depictions of minors/loli characters
Real life individuals
Ghostwriting
I am just out of college, and I am trying to carve out a corner of the literary mountain to call my own. All works I create will be attached to my name.
A list of things that I would appreciate having a discussion over before committing to:
Fanfic, Fanword, and Existing IPs
I am more than ok with writing fanfiction. However, I am only one individual, and I do not know the ins and outs of every fandom and IP out there. I might not know anything about the fandom you want me to write a fanfiction for. If that is the case for the IP you are desiring, I would appreciate discussing the media I am trying to replicate, so I may properly write the world and characters.
Scat
There is a fine line between scat being something I am ok with writing, and something that makes me uncomfortable. If this is something you wish to request of me, I would appreciate discussing how this element is to be included, to ensure I am comfortable with the work you are requesting.
Works over 35,000 words
Anything over 35,000 words is going to be a long project, obviously. With it being such a long project, I would like to take extra care that I understand what is desired of the final product, so I do not end up revising massive segments of text.
Seeing that Fanfic requires some understanding of a fandom, I do think it is reasonable that I would like to discuss the media before committing to a commission. However, there are some fandoms I am quite knowledgeable on, and am immediatly okay with working with! Treat these as if they are on the DOs section.
