Understanding Your Saboteurs
Have you ever wondered what truly sabotages your well-being and effectiveness?
Saboteurs are coping mechanisms, often developed in childhood, that stem from a place of self-protection and control. They're triggered by specific situations or people and can feel so familiar that you might mistake them for aspects of yourself. But they're not you; they're simply your learned ways of coping, and sometimes, those coping mechanisms need an upgrade.
It's often easier to spot saboteurs in others or in your environment than in yourself. What's more, someone else's sabotaging behavior can often trigger your own saboteur response.
