Lost to Found: Surviving the Death of Your Child
Grief is a solo journey with guides along the way.
Lost to Found: Surviving the Death of Your Child
After experiencing the death of her stepson followed by the death of her only child 20 years later, Basia saw a similarity in the full throes of grief, loss and trauma. She experienced grief as a journey similar to the Heros Journey. The main difference is that on the Heroes Journey people willingly enter the path of transformation. In grief and loss she discovered a process of mythical proportion compared to anything she experienced prior or experienced after that was equal to the Surviving the Death of Your Child.
This tiny book was written in response to requests by people who heard her Keynote Presentation at The Compassionate Friends National Conference in 2018.

WORDWORTHYREADS
Appropriately titled, Basia shares her story of the death of first, her stepson Logan; then years later, her only biological child, Richard. This is a short, concise read of how she takes her grief and channels it to honor the lives of her boys. She acknowledges the process with honestly and sensitivity to those of us who walk the same path. It gives me hope that one day I will find my way in this new journey of loss and heartbreak.
