Students at the heart
I taught demand analysis with a team from registry to understand what matters to students during graduation. We learned they did not read the long emails and therefore created failure demand
Putting what we learned we redesigned how we communciated to graduands during the run up to graduation and reduced failure demand by 80%
Graduands were contacted at each step with short messages and some reminders on social media
People empowerment
Working with a mixed team from schools but triggered by a Student Records Officer who could see exam board reports needed improving, we studied the flow of the process and learned that a huge amount of time was spent formatting reports.
Using a set of principles learned from flow we created a flexible report saving a massive amount of time.
The team was fully engaged and were involved. One team member said “ It really makes a change to be part of something where something actually happens”
