In 2008 Greg was offered an amazing opportunity, to record his own clients at a studio setup for him at Lindsay Butler Studios. This is Tamworth Recording Suite, and Greg's album “Now and Then” is a product of the foresight shown by Lindsay Butler and Shaza Leigh in offering Greg this opportunity. In an inspired moment, as it's turned out, Greg decided to record an album of his own, as part of the equipment familiarisation process.
The title track “Now and Then”, has enjoyed Australia-wide and overseas airplay, being released in 2009, and the second single “Say It Now” is on the Musicorp radio compilation disc, with “The Bullocky” being the next single to be released soon.
For quite a while now Greg made a transition from his “live” performances to a recording career, with the success of his management of Kirsty Lee Akers early career, through the production and release of her first single “Bashed Up, Beaten, Battered, Broken Heart”, guiding her through the winning of Telstra Road to Tamworth songwriting prize, which took them both to Nashville in 2006, where Kirsty co-wrote with internationally successful professional songwriters, including Byron Hill, at Universal Music Publishing in Music Row. Greg was the X-factor in Kirsty’s 2007 Toyota Star Maker win which led to her recording prize, a successful album and a 2008 Golden Guitar win.
