Performance Review

Here is how I feel my performance should be reviewed and evaluated by Professor Newlon:

1. Overview of Performance

Throughout this semester, I have created many technical artifacts, including the following items:

• An infographic

• A flyer

• A coupon

• A logo

• Several blogs

2. Evidence of Technical Communication Skills

I have demonstrated evidence of technical communication skills in the following ways among many others:

• My Case Study clearly demonstrates how to remedy a system which has been compromised and exploited by a browser hijacker which renders normal system functionality inaccessible. I troubleshot this system on many different levels before I determined that a total wipe, cleanse, and restore of the system from backup was necessary.

• I demonstrated audience awareness in my proposal by showcasing the world of AI, along with its uses, misuses, and sometimes abuses. I particularly wanted to grab everyone’s attention here as this is an area that started to cause problems throughout the course. As I started falling into this trap, I wanted to come up with a program to prevent others from making some of the same mistakes I did in the beginning. I learned so much while this proposal was being planned out.

• Ensuring that proper effort is exerted on each assignment I went back and performed total makeovers on each of my assignments and ensured that my intended thoughts and ideas were represented and not thwarted by hallucinations and others which were artificially generated. I learned the hard way to take responsibility for my own actions.

• My manual was intended with the end user in mind. However, when I reread it, it applied more to the technician in the physical environment. In the end it did apply more to the technician side of things. However, I am also creating a Virtual Private Network (VPN) end users which will benefit them as they start to use these services through Cophlat Technologies. After all, the end user is the purpose for our brand.

3. Revision, Process, and Responsiveness

I had many editions of the Case Study with intext citations and works cited. However, when it comes to revisions, the Proposal is the winner. Starting with Digital Transformation and Security, it wound up being about AI Uses and Abuses as I feel this grew to become my topic throughout this course. AI is a tool with many good uses. However, as a tool (like any other), it has many unintended uses and means in which it can be abused. Planning a future with AI, I am implementing systems to ensure its proper use and sanctions for when it is abused.

4. Alignment with Course Expectations

Currently I feel my work is spot on. This is not my history, however, as there were many instances in which it strayed off course, and sometimes even out of the ballpark. Completing my master’s, this is probably the single course in which I have gained the most useful knowledge. I learned many cold, hard lessons, including many reworks, which were well deserved. In the end, I learned that you go by the guidelines as they are handed to you and do not attempt to alter them or to throw in your own insights (beyond what is requested by the instructor). Follow the guidelines as they are handed and you make life much easier for everyone.

5. Final Grade Recommendation

I have truly footed the time, effort and energy for an A in this course. At this point in time, I feel this reasoning and rationale is entirely in the hands of the instructor.

6. Closing Statement

I am taking full accountability for any and all off my actions as I always have from day one. I will also not allow myself to be consumed by the realm of AI or any other technology that may be created going into the future.
