See what you see. However, I love the patterns found in the overlapping stones along or within a mountain stream. That's the inspiration for this series.

Greg Haynes was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He obtained a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1984. He worked in various capacities at the City and County Planning Office in Chattanooga for 30 years, all the while using his graphic and illustration skills. He continues to do so.

My goal is to keep these designs simple, minimal, abstract, graphic, and modern in order to create a picture that quiets the space where it is located, even if the colors are quite vivid.

Born in 1962, the design aesthetic of the decade that followed was imprinted upon me. Simple shapes, bold colors, and clean typography flowed to me through television and magazine graphics. This is the influence behind these paintings.
