I provide one-one-one counselling in a relaxed space for you to explore your life challenges in a non-judgemental, affirming atmosphere.

Cost per Session:  $150

Sliding Scale - I do reserve a few spots at a reduced rate.  Please let me know if cost is a barrier and we can try to find a rate that works.

I have many years of experience running men's groups.  During the past eight and a half years, I have run three different men's groups (Men and Anger, Choosing to Change and Being a Dad).  Recently, I have started to run Workshops to support new dads.

Couple counselling provides an opportunity for you and your significant other to explore issues that are causing tension within your relationship.  I use an interactive, strength-based and empathic approach to assist couples in improving communication, increasing trust, strengthening intimacy and creating positive change in the relationship.

For some men, it can be difficult to talk and share with others about problems related to identity, relationships, intimacy and vulnerability because of cultural norms and societal expectations; rigid and sometimes unhealthy forms of masculinity. This unease around sharing can sometimes lead to problems such as stress, anxiety, depression, toxic shame, anger issues, and intimate partner conflicts.  Unfortunately, many men seem to suffer in silence about their emotional pain.  I provide a relaxed space for men to talk freely about problems related to identity, relationships, fathering, work-life balance, intimacy and sexuality, work, health, stress, depression, anxiety, shame, anger and so on.  

Walk & Talk Sessions:  I offer Walk & Talks as some men prefer to step outside of the counselling office.  They find immersion in nature helps them relax, to better connect with themselves and feel more at ease to share their feelings.  Walking, as a medium, helps some men to open up as it channels their energy.  Talking and sharing within counselling seems more natural - less contrived.  Stepping into nature can help us see ourselves in more relational terms.  We learn to see 'the forest for the trees.'  Living life by 'relating' to problems rather than being 'fused' with them is liberating.  

Support For New Dads:  I invite dads to share their stories in a welcoming space where they can receive emotional and practical support.  I help dads tap into their own internal strengths, connect with their values and move towards being the type of dad that they wish to become.  I seek to support dads on their fathering journey.   I recall that there were few supports available for dads when my son was born twenty two years ago.  Today, I am happy to offer support to other dads within the local community but also within the GTA.
