Frequently Asked Questions
Greenwood Interior Academy is a leading interior design training institution in Nigeria. We offer comprehensive courses in Interior Design, 2D Design, 3D Design, and Candle & Diffuser Making. In just 18 months, we have successfully trained over 258 students, helping them transform their passion for design into thriving careers.
Our academy is located at plot 302 Attahiru Jega Crescent, Abuja, Nigeria. We have a modern, well-equipped facility with dedicated classrooms, design studios, and practical training areas.
Currently, we offer in-person classes at our Lagos facility to ensure hands-on, practical training. This allows students to work directly with materials, tools, and receive personalized guidance from our expert instructors.
We offer four specialized courses: 1) Interior Design (₦300,000 - 2 months), 2) 2D Design (₦150,000 - 1 month), 3) 3D Design (₦150,000 - 1 month), and 4) Candle & Diffuser Making (₦200,000 - 2 weeks). Each course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and practical skills.
Course durations vary: Interior Design takes 2 months, 2D Design and 3D Design each take 1 month, and Candle & Diffuser Making takes 2 weeks. All courses include intensive hands-on training and practical projects.
6. Can I take multiple courses?
Yes! Many of our students take multiple courses to expand their skill set. We recommend starting with Interior Design as a foundation, then adding 2D and 3D Design courses. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate students taking multiple courses.
7. What will I learn in the Interior Design course?
The Interior Design course covers space planning, color theory, furniture selection, lighting design, material selection, client consultation, project management, and portfolio development. You will work on real-world projects and learn industry-standard practices.
8. How do I enroll in a course?
You can enroll by visiting our Enrollment page, selecting your desired course and batch, filling out the registration form, and making payment. You can also visit our office or contact us directly for assistance with the enrollment process.
9. What are the admission requirements?
We welcome students from diverse backgrounds. Applicants are expected to have at least a recognized qualification such as OND, HND, BSc, MSc, PhD, or any other relevant certification. Beyond formal qualifications, a strong passion for design, creativity, and commitment to learning are essential. Whether you are new to interior design or have prior experience, our courses are structured to support and elevate learners at different skill levels.
10.When do new batches start?
We have multiple batches throughout the year. Our 2026 batches start in February 23rd 2026. Each batch has limited spots (70-80 students) to ensure personalized attention. Check our Enrollment page for specific start dates and availability.
11. How many students are in each batch?
We maintain structured class sizes to ensure effective learning. Our Interior Design classes accommodate 60–70 students per batch, allowing for collaborative learning while still delivering quality instruction. Other specialized courses are limited to 10–20 students per batch, ensuring personalized attention, hands-on guidance, and closer interaction with instructors and fellow students.
12. What are the course fees?
Interior Design: ₦300,000, 2D Design: ₦150,000, 3D Design: ₦150,000, Candle & Diffuser Making: ₦200,000. All fees include training materials, practical supplies, and certification upon completion.
13. Do you offer payment plans?
All courses are offered with a structured installment payment option. Tuition fees must be paid in two installments only. The first installment is due before the early bird registration deadline, and the remaining balance must be paid on or before the 4th class for weekday students and on or before the 3rd class for weekend students.
Please note: The organization will not be responsible for any missed classes due to late or incomplete payment. Access to classes may be restricted until all payment obligations are fulfilled.
14. What is included in the course fee?
The course fee includes all training materials and access to design software (for 2D/3D courses), hands-on project materials, expert instruction, and a certificate of completion. For the Candle & Diffuser Making course, all materials for practice are included.
15. Will I receive a certificate?
Yes! Upon successful completion of your course and Examination, you will receive a certificate from Greenwood Interior Academy. This certificate validates your skills and knowledge, and is recognized in the industry.
16. Is the certificate recognized?
Our certificates are recognized by employers and clients in the interior design industry. Many of our graduates have successfully used their certificates to start their own businesses or secure employment with design firms.
17. Is there a refund policy?
Refunds are only available on the first day of class and will be considered strictly on medical grounds or other critical circumstances. Please note that 40% of the course fee will be deducted from any approved refund. No refunds will be provided after the first day of class.
18. What career opportunities are available after completing the course?
Graduates can work as interior designers, design consultants, 2D/3D visualization artists, freelance designers, or start their own design businesses. Many of our students have successfully launched their careers in residential design, commercial design, and creative entrepreneurship.
19. Do you provide job placement assistance?
While we do not guarantee job placement, we provide career guidance, portfolio development support, and networking opportunities. We also share job openings and freelance opportunities with our graduates through our alumni network.
20. Can I start my own business after the course?
Absolutely! Many of our graduates have successfully started their own interior design businesses. Our courses include practical business skills, website development, customer avatar, sales strategies, client management, and project execution strategies to help you launch and grow your design business.
21. Do I need to bring my own laptop?
Laptop Requirement (Mandatory): All students are required to bring their own laptops for every course.
2D and 3D Design courses: Laptops must have at least 8GB RAM, a dedicated graphics card, a multi-core processor, and sufficient storage to run design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Suite without performance issues. Laptops that do not meet these specifications may restrict your ability to complete course activities.
Other courses: Laptops should have a reliable processor, minimum 4GB RAM, and stable internet access.
Note: Students who do not bring laptops that meet the required specifications may be denied access to certain course activities.
22.What software will I learn?
For business management, google workspace, canva, elfsight. In the 2D Design course, you will learn AutoCAD, SketchUp. In the 3D Design course, you will learn 3ds Max, V-Ray, and rendering techniques. We provide guidance on software installation and licensing.
23. Do I need prior design experience?
No prior experience is required! Our courses are designed for beginners and intermediate learners. We start with fundamentals and progressively build your skills. Our expert instructors will guide you every step of the way.
