The Greensburg Pirate Bands are comprised of students grades 6-12 in Greensburg Community Schools. These young musicians participate in Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Pep Band. They also have the chance to play in the Decatur County Greensburg Marching Band.

Meet the Directors!
Quinn Sciarra, GCHS Band Director
Quinn Sciarra, GCHS Band Director
Ms. Sciarra is the Greensburg Community High School Band Director. She is a graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music where she earned a degree in Instrumental Music Education. At IU, she played oboe in band and orchestra, and played trombone in the IU Marching Hundred. Outside of music, she loves to swim and read.
Dakota Pederson, GJHS Band Director
Dakota Pederson, GJHS Band Director
Mr. Pederson is the Greensburg JH Band Director. Mr. Pederson previously taught at Fairfield Jr/Sr High School. During his time there, he worked with the state finalist marching band, show choir pit band, and junior high bands. In addition to teaching, Mr. Pederson is an avid composer with Hal Leonard and Alfred Music, having numerous published works being performed by bands all over the world. Mr. Pederson graduated from Indiana State University and resides in Indianapolis.
