Bar Manager

With two bars, as well as over 200,000 square feet, The Playground has a ton of glasses to fill. You'll be leading a team of approximately 20 bartenders, all of whom must be certified by the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Commission, overseeing upwards of $50,000 worth of liquor, not to mention another $10,000 worth of glassware, and another $25,000 worth of non-alcoholic ingredients. With capacity over 2,000 people on the premises, we have the largest on-site permit in Guilford County. It's kind of a lot.

You'll be responsible for the following:

• Maintaining Inventory over all alcoholic beverages

• Running liquor audits on a weekly basis

• Auditing bartender pours

• Scheduling bartenders, ensuring both bars are adequately staffed, and working with management for appropriately closing bars during off-peak hours

• Working with the Recreation & Events Coordinator to ensure that resources necessary for bar-based events are in place at appropriate times

• Management and oversight of satellite bars during special events

• Purchasing for all alcoholic beverages in a compliant manner from the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Commission

• Management of 70-Tap Beer System

• Management of 500 square foot walk-in cooler for above system

• All bartender duties as needed

This is a salaried position. The annual salary for this role is $62,400 plus bonuses. Employees in this role will enjoy full-time employee benefits.
