The Green Pastures Holistic Center LLC Experience

“Green Pastures Holistic Center LLC” began as a vision during a dark, worldwide pandemic; a vision to restore homeostasis to a broken world that had succumbed to fear, stress, depression, anxiety, and illness.

One evening, as the sun was setting, I went for a long walk by myself. It was on that walk that I had a moment of awakening, where time seemed to stand still for a few minutes. The world around me got quiet. I deeply inhaled the fresh air. I thought introspectively about my life, my family, my friends, my career, the “rat race” we call a daily routine, the doctors, the medicines, the illnesses, the fear, the stress, the anxiety, the depression, the news, and the collapsing world within me and around me and I just thought “this is not sustainable; something has got to change.” I was instantly overwhelmed, brought to tears, and felt feelings of utter hopelessness. I knew at that moment that I was at a crossroads in my life. I felt in my core that I needed a drastic change in direction for my own life and felt just as passionately about helping those around me as well, but didn’t know where to go, what to do, or how to do it. How do you fix a broken world?! And as I continued to walk and let the tears flow, I just prayed that God would guide me and show me the way.

It was in those teary footsteps that proceeded that one of my favorite preacher’s words came through my earbuds. He happened to be giving a sermon on Psalms 23. The words that he spoke were: “Do you feel hopeless? Do you feel directionless? Do you feel like you want to live in the fullness of the promise of God, but you don’t trust your own sense of direction? God says I see you. You look like a sheep. I see you turning left, instead of right, so I’m going to guide you. The Lord is your shepherd. The Lord says he will make you lie down in green pastures. He will lead you beside still waters. He will restore your soul. God is guiding your life.” It was as if God was speaking directly to me. And in that same moment, I instantly thought of my passion for holistic wellness. In that moment, I pictured a holistic center based out of my home where I could share my passion for holistic health with others and help restore peace and harmony of body, mind, and spirit to a broken world. Warmth, light, peace, tranquility, harmony, health, still waters, green pastures…and so my journey began and Green Pastures Holistic Center LLC was born.
