Bees are dying out by the masses due to habitat loss and diseases. Research has suggested that exposure to micro plastic can alter their genetic components and expose them to diseases due to the pollution in the micro plastics so by bringing them into our homes we also give them a home free from the pollution that we aim to achieve with our projects. The bees can freely travel from the hive to the glass wall using the glass tube. Which can serve as an aesthetic of the house. Residents can also harvest the honey from the bees and use the beeswax for DIY projects such as beeswax wrap to eliminate the need for saran wraps, further reducing the amount of plastics waste.
Most lampshades on the market are made out of plastic. We can instead grow our own lampshade using mycelium, we can mold it into whatever design we want and recycle it when we want a different lampshade. This will reduce the amount of plastic waste we generate.
Do you love the fresh smell of plants? Us too! That is why we have created the plant wall. The plants will further purify the air inside your home. It is also great to look at when you are taking a break away from your screens.
We know clothing is another source of microplastics, so we decided to include a microplastic filter for our washing machine so that it can capture the micro plastics that sheds during the washing process.
