GREENLAND

Green land uses in urban regions

GREENLAND aims at investigating how environmental conditions are intrinsically incorporated in the interplay among land uses in urban regions as a two-ways relationship

- - - we shed light on environmental attributes across the urban system to identify similar and divergent trends linked to the urban structure
    - we provide analysis of environmental trade-offs on a sample of urban regions

GREENLAND is organised around 5 academic tasks, plus dissemination and management tasks:

Task 1

Characterizing the intra-urban spatial distribution of land use, population and environmental attributes

Task 4

Evaluating the consequences of under- or over-estimated air quality at intra-urban level

Task 2

Identifying the homogenous and heterogenous environmental trends across cities

Task5

Assessing the role of public environmental policies

Task 3

Modeling the links between location choice, land use and environmental attributes
