My love of nature and the outdoors was cultivated by my parents from a young age, especially my mother who taught me the names of many British wildflowers. My interest in plants branched into gardening as a hobby, but it was not until my mid-twenties did I begin night classes in horticulture.
In 2010 I finished my career in the city to gain a diploma in horticulture from Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Wisley. This entailed two years of living, studying and working at the prestigious garden. I was awarded the Wisley Top Trainee Award and the Englefield Trophy for best all round horticultural ability.
My gardening career has since been spent working at prestigious establishments nationwide, including high-end London gardens for Alaster Anderson, private estates, and Leeds Castle Gardens.
I have a diploma in floristry from Judith Blacklock's Flower School, Knightsbridge.
I am a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Gardeners. I was accepted into the Company after winning the Gardeners Company Prize in recognition of an exceptional level of attainment achieved in Horticultural Studies (this award is only given to four students of horticulture in the UK annually).
