Greenbrier Refuge proudly follows a "thrift-first" philosophy and is committed to prioritizing the use of secondhand ("gently used") and/or reusable items and "found" materials -- though we will gladly accept new items as well. 

We can always use...

• Unopened, non-expired chicken feed, scratch grains, or meal worms

• Unopened, non-expired cat treats (No cat food, please... Our cats are on special prescription diets. Donate cat food to your local animal shelter instead. 🐱)

• Chuck pads ("puppy pads")

• Paper towels

• Hardware cloth/mesh

• Fresh or frozen produce

• Trash bags of all sizes (including "poop bags")

• Bleach (tablets preferred)

• Dish soap (especially blue Dawn)

• Toys suitable for cats or chickens

• Baled, dry straw

• Dried basil, thyme, or parsley (to add to chicken feed)

• Dehydrated vegetables (NO onion or garlic)

• Sand ("clean," "playground-grade," prefarably bagged)

• Tidy Cats 'Free & Clear' cat litter

• Towels, blankets, sheets

• Play pens, pet fences or enclosures

• Basic medical supplies such as gauze, vet wrap/bandage, medical/first aid tape, etc.
