We are a group of nationwide Girl Scout adults who still want to stay active in an organization that we believe is very valuable to the girls of today and tomorrow. The Green Hat Society National organization serves as a communication and social forum to link like-minded Girl Scouts together.
At the National level there are no dues or fees to join; however, individual Green Hat chapters may charge dues. As a member of Green Hats you are encouraged to work with your council, service units, troops, and girls to provide them with assistance wherever you can.
Members must be registered as adult volunteers with Girl Scouts of the USA or their WAGGGS member country. A chapter may limit membership by age as written in their chapter by-laws.
You may already have a chapter of Green Hats in your area (check the list here) if so we can connect you to the chapter chair who can provide you with more information about your local chapter.
Whether you are part of a chapter or a member at large, you are a valuable resource to the girls in your council and ultimately Girl Scouts nationwide. Further when you share what you are doing in the Green Hat newsletter, other members across the movement can adapt it for Girls Scouts in their region. If there is a need within your council or in your area, who better to identify it and to try to help than experienced Girl Scout volunteers.

New members must complete the registration form and email it to nationalgreenhatsociety@gmail.com
Forms may be submitted by a chapter or individual. When submitted by an individual the National Registrar will forward the information on to the chapter that is closest geographically to the individual, if one has been established.
There are no national dues.
