This edited volume offers a timely and authoritative exploration of the intersection between financial technology (FinTech) and environmental sustainability. Green FinTech: Innovations for a Sustainable Financial Future brings together contributions from leading academics, industry practitioners, and policy experts to critically examine how emerging digital financial tools can support the global transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient, and inclusive economy.
As the financial sector faces increasing pressure to align with net-zero goals and sustainable development, FinTech innovations—ranging from blockchain-enabled carbon markets to ESG-integrated robo-advisors—are emerging as powerful enablers. However, alongside the promise of Green FinTech lies a complex web of ethical, regulatory, and technological challenges. This book provides a comprehensive, multidisciplinary analysis of both the opportunities and risks inherent in this rapidly evolving field.
We invite chapter proposals for an edited academic volume on Green FinTech, exploring how financial technology is transforming sustainable finance, climate finance, ESG investing, and inclusive green growth. This book brings together scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to examine the role of FinTech, digital platforms, blockchain, AI, and data analytics in supporting environmental sustainability and sustainable development. The volume aims to provide rigorous, policy-relevant, and practice-oriented research, with a particular focus on Asia-Pacific and emerging markets.
