Agrupamento de Escolas Trigal de Santa Maria, Portugal is located in a small city called Tadim which is located in a semi-rural area, next to a big city called Braga, in the north of Portugal. We have approximately 900 students from 3 to 15 years and 90 teachers. The students go from kindergarten to the 9th-grade elementary school. The majority of the students are from this rural area. Most of our students come from families that work mainly in the fields and in small family industries. Some come from one-parent families and have social needs.
Some have divorced parents and a few are orphans. Almost 8% of students have special education needs. We have very few students coming from other countries (Ukraine, Cabo Verde, France) and also have Roma students. Our immigrant students have a support of a Portuguese teacher to help them to cope with language difficulties. Most of our students are not used to dealing with students from other nationalities, so this represents an opportunity for them to interact with other cultures. Participation in this project will be important to develop the European citizenship of students and to let them realize that there are opportunities for them to wait outside the small place where they live.

Arena Academy is an independent high school with a special focus on advanced education in English.
The idea behind our school is simple. We want to offer students in Sweden the opportunity to prepare for an international career already after high school. Our focus on advanced English makes the student ready to apply for university, college or a job in an English-speaking country after high school. In short, you could say that we offer a head start on the world.
We offer four programs, they are Science, Technology, Economics & Social studies.
We are also offer students the possibilities to give Cambridge exams.
Our high school is an accredited Cambridge International School. As our student, you will have the opportunity to be a member of the Cambridge community and study for Cambridge Advanced Subsidiary (AS) and Advanced (A) level qualifications. The Advanced Level is the ‘gold standard’ of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) qualifications. It is accepted as an entry qualification by universities of the European Union and very many around the world, on a par with the French Baccalaureate, the German Abitur, etc. These qualifications are also recognized by employers around the world (including Sweden) as evidence of high academic ability.
