Frequency Descriptions

You must know or/and learn the following communication skills to successfully enlist HAF. 

• Ground Frequency

Ground tower personnel control everything that moves on the ground, besides the runway or/and runway crossings.

• Tower Frequency

Tower frequency personnel look over the runway. After an aircraft has rotated from the runway, it must be handed off to the approach personnel. This also makes approaching aircraft on final, getting handed to the tower frequency.

• Approach Frequency

Takes care of everything that flies, departs or arrives into the airfield. Hands off approaching aircraft on final to tower.

• Tac 1/2

Air to Air Communication. 

• Cap West 1/2 

Air Defence Policing Communication.

• Contour Flying

Used for Aircraft to Aircraft comms while flying at low altitudes.  For example while flying at Greek Mach Loop, (Orenji Mountains) You must be present in this frequency.

• NOE

Aircraft to aircraft coombs, used while flying generally at low altitudes, except if flying besides or in the Greek Mach Loop.
